HW #2 pg. 23-57
1) How does Morrison describe the place where the Breedloves live?  Be specific.  Why do you think she takes the time to describe it like this?
2) What is the point that Morrison makes regarding the Breedloves' belief in their own ugliness?  How does Pecola try to keep bad things from happening, in her imagination?
3) Thinking about the answer to the question above, why does Pecola love the Mary Jane candy?
4) What are the three prostitutes in the story like?  Why does Pecola like being with them?
