I provided you with some Reading Comprehension Questions from a recent English Regents.  Complete them by Friday.

Late work is due on Friday.

FINAL EXAMS will be given on Tuesday June 10, and Wednesday June 11.  Your exam will be a Critical Lens Essay.  Be sure to know the titles of your texts as well as the names of  the authors who wrote them.

Write a Q26 and Q27 response to "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Dylan Thomas and "Because I Could Not Stop for Death" by Emily Dickinson.

Directions for Q26 and Q27 are here.  Please note that I made a mistake on some of your sheets.  The controlling idea is "death."

If you were absent on Monday, you have not received the second poem.  You will not be allowed to make up that worksheet unless you have a note.  If you were absent you should look the poem up online and use it to respond to the prompts.

5) Explain the one word ending in Chapter 19 of "Tis." (Some of you might find that this page is not in your book, but this is how the book ends, I promise)

Also, please have the foreman of your group send me a quick email identifying which period class you are in, which chapter you are in charge of and who your classmates are.  I'll be opening a document for you to copy and paste your homework questions into.

Approaching the end of MP 3

All Classes:  Your Vocabulary Midterm will be on Friday January 17, 2014.  Due to popular demand, I linked all of the vocabulary sheets here.  Remember to study from the a- words from Week 1 all the way up to the extr- words on Week 18.
All Classes:  Your essay midterm will be on Tuesday and Wednesday January 21-22, 2014.  It will be a critical lens essay.  Pds 5 & 7, expect a topic on Education, referring to Frederick Douglass.  Pds 9 & 10, expect a topic regarding jealousy and desire, referring to A View From the Bridge.  Remember that you have to include a paragraph about a book other than the book we are currently reading.
