Your thirty vocabulary sentences are due Friday.

HW #11: Finish reading Chapter X.  Describe the plan to run away, explain 

why it failed, and tell what happened next. (due Friday)

HW #12: Complete the review sheet in preparation for the essay on Tuesday/Wednesday. (due Tuesday)

HW #7 Alfieri has been hinting all along that the outcome of this play is inevitable. Do you agree? Explain, using at least two direct quotes from the text. (due Friday)

All Classes:  Your Vocabulary Midterm will be on Friday January 17, 2014.  Due to popular demand, I linked all of the vocabulary sheets here.  Remember to study from the a- words from Week 1 all the way up to the extr- words on Week 18.
All Classes:  Your essay midterm will be on Tuesday and Wednesday January 21-22, 2014.  It will be a critical lens essay.  Pds 5 & 7, expect a topic on Education, referring to Frederick Douglass.  Pds 9 & 10, expect a topic regarding jealousy and desire, referring to A View From the Bridge.  Remember that you have to include a paragraph about a book other than the book we are currently reading.

HW #8/#3 Finish the vocabulary sentences for the dis- and extr- words at home.
